Marpataş, one of the first Trademark and Patent attorneys in Turkey, Yaşar Tozar, Burçin Elmastaşı and Savaş Ölmez took the first steps in Ankara in 1979 and started to serve in 1985.

Marpataş, which has made significant contributions to the formation of the building blocks of the sector and created a sought-after, reliable and respected identity in a short time with the experience of its founders and expert team, opened its first branch in Istanbul in 1993 and continues to serve with its Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir offices.

Providing uninterrupted services to Turkey’s most important brands, Marpataş uses its steady growth effectively on the international platform and continues to be one of the first in the sector with new projects.

Marpataş continues to contribute to the Industrial Property ecosystem in our country with Industrial Property trainings within the scope of the Yes Genius project, which was launched in universities in 2010 and reached thousands of students.

In 2020, it offers solution-oriented services to its clients with the Markanibul project, Turkey’s most reliable brand platform for sale.

1985

Marpataş was established in Ankara.

Marpataş opened its first office in Ankara in the field of Intellectual and Industrial Property rights.

1990

The First Trademark Watch Program In Turkey

For the first time in Turkey, our own software, the Trademark Watching and Monitoring Program which is named Mark Genius, was started to be used.

1993

Istanbul Office became operational.

Marpataş has started to represent its clients before the foreign patent Offices.

1999

The first WIPO application was filed.

Marpataş has started to represent its clients before WIPO for giving better service in the field of international arena.

2000

Mark Genius Program was updated.

Mark Genius Program was developed and design, patent, domain name module were added.

2010

Yes Genius Project was implemented.

Around Turkey, the educations for the Intellectual and Industrial Property rights were started.

2011

AIPPI membership was started.

Membership of AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights) was started.

2016

ECTA Membership was started.

We have been the member of ECTA, Association for trademarks, designs, copyright and other intellectual property rights within the European Union.

2017

Industrial Property Law Book

The comparative narrative book with the Decree Law No. 556, of the Industrial Property Law No. 6769 was published.

2020

Markanıbul project was implemented.

Marpataş has implemented the project Markanibul.com. which is Turkey’s most reliable trademark platform for sale.

2021

Artificial Intelligence Update

Artificial Intelligence technology has been integrated into the Mark Genius program.

2022

Izmir Office became operational.

In order to be close to our clients, the 3rd Marpataş office became operational in Izmir.
